Birmingham Bohemians V Sands United Birmingham & Solihull. Sands currently on a streak of 5 unbeaten games..
These teams have played each other quite a bit in the past and are well matched which was going to make for an interesting match up. Mother nature decided to get in on the act with a combination of biting cold, high winds and, towards the end of the game, rain.
The game was evenly matched during the first half with Sands going 1-2 up at the half
Early in the second half Bohemians had a player sent off after a foul on the edge of the Bohemians box but Sands were unable to convert it into another goal.
Sands couldn't capitalise on the man advantage and had manager Dan Hill introduced to the referees notebook after chirping at the referees decisions once too often.
A good result for Sands with 6 unbeaten in a row on the run up to yet another attempt next Sunday to get the cup tie against Grove United played. After two failed attempts away the game has been moved to be played at Sands (Wychall Wanderers)
