A good days football
Sunday 24th July 22 saw me head out to Highgate UInited ground in Shirley for a 4 team tournament organised by Birmingham Bohemians.
The tournament was to benefit Birmingham Dogs Home.
The competitors were Birmingham Bohemians, Locomotive Sheldon, Meadway Sporting and Sands United Solihull.
The games were to be 45 minute duration with two semi-final games, a 3rd/4th place game and a final.
The day started with some drizzle which looked like a bad omen for getting people in to watch but it soon picked up and there was a good crownd using the bar and seating areas to watch the action.
Meadway Sporting and Locomotive Sheldon were the two finalists.
In the 3rd/4th place game Sands United beat Birmingham Bohemians on penalties whilst in the final Meadway Sporting beat Locomotive Sheldon also on penalties.
