Despite the weather this weekends match survived. Old rivals G&C and Sands United Birmingham & Solihull met at Bluebell Recreation Ground.
G&C went ahead early in the first half but Sands went to work with 3 goals in quick succession. Sands picked up another later in the first half.
The second half was a bit more of a struggle for both teams as the pitch started to get heavy underfoot. Sands scored the final goal of the game with a penalty.
1-5 to Sands was a good result for Sands with 2 wins on the trot. Still a few games in hand on the teams above to catch up on.
