Sands United Birmingham & Solihull V Sheldon Rovers 3rd November 2024

First post for a while.

This was a home game for Sands at the Wychall Wanderers site. After all the recent weather the pitch was a little boggy in places, not least where I was sat on the goal line.

A good first half for Sands having the lions share of possession with them scoring 4 goals in the 5th,35th,38th and 41st minute, As is always the way the bulk of the action was at the opposite end.

Sheldon did get a first half penalty which was saved by #33 Harry White .

In the second half Sands seemed to lose focus and let Sheldon back into the game with them scoring 2 goals to make the final score a more respectable 4-2 to Sands.

This was Sands first win of the season. If they can keep the first half form over the next few weeks to get out of the bottom part of the division the season starts to look brighter.
